Kearns & West Senior Director Eric Poncelet has been asked to serve on a panel of experts at a February 12th Bay Planning Coalition (BPC) workshop on ocean planning. The focus of the workshop is on the implications of ocean planning for the maritime industry (ports, shipping, and related industries) in the San Francisco Bay Area. The workshop will take place at the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco (8:30am – 12:30pm). Tickets are still available for the workshop; please click here for more information. Discounts are available for BPC members, students, and government employees.
Eric will be presenting along with a host of other ocean planning and maritime commerce experts from NOAA, the California Ocean Protection Council, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Port of Oakland, Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, and others. Eric was asked by the Bay Planning Coalition to help organize and convene the workshop based on his expertise designing and facilitating stakeholder processes in support of ocean planning on the West Coast, nationally, and internationally. In the workshop, Eric will present lessons learned from stakeholder outreach he conducted with the maritime commerce sector as part of ocean planning efforts in New England. More information about Eric’s experience and role as Marine Practice lead is available on the About Us page.
