Joey Goldman has joined Kearns & West in San Francisco as a Vice President and will lead the firm’s growing Transportation Practice. With more than 25 years in the transportation industry, Joey’s experience further builds Kearns & West’s qualifications in public participation, stakeholder facilitation, communications, outreach, branding, and qualitative research projects.
Joey assumes the role of supporting and managing outreach efforts for the California High-Speed Rail project in Northern California.The role builds on Joey’s management of community-based strategic transportation plans, consensus-building efforts to coordinate and consolidate transportation programs, last-mile strategies with governments and employers, and transportation system redesign projects.
A leader in the field of transportation equity and access, Joey co-chairs the Transportation Research Board Committee on Accessible Transportation and Mobility. His experience engaging older adults, people with disabilities, and other transportation-disenfranchised groups in planning, as well as work on Federal Title VI and Americans with Disabilities Act transportation plans, has been a critical part of his approach to managing transit needs studies, human services coordinated plans, and information campaigns around new services and technologies.
