K&W Conducts a Needs Assessment to Support BLM Geospatial Data Publication

The US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for the management and conservation of resources on 13% of the total land surface in the country and has many remote offices to achieve its mandate. BLM is evaluating options for developing a Geospatial Publication suite of tools for accessing, searching, retrieving, and visualizing comprehensive datasets and geographic information that support BLM’s mission. The intent is to address the demand across a diverse set of users—both internal and external—for an easy-to-use program with a single point of entry for accessing a wide range of data. Kearns & West is teaming with ICF International to conduct a needs assessment to identify functional and technical requirements for the new system. Kearns & West will also develop a communications plan to support the implementation of the initiative.
