Brisa Aviles is an Associate at Kearns and West, supporting the firm’s community planning, equitable and inclusive engagement, and renewable energy sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies with a double minor in Urban Studies and Environmental Systems and Society from the University of California Los Angeles. Her background includes neighborhood storytelling, community outreach and engagement, environmental and mobility justice, and affordable housing for community land trusts. Brisa’s previous experience ranges from grassroots organizing to serving as a community liaison to larger government agencies in both the San Diego and Los Angeles region.
