Marlys Jeane is a Senior Associate at Kearns & West, primarily supporting the water sector. Her experience includes working on collaborative planning efforts with local governments, community-based organizations, and the public related to sustainably managing water resources. Prior to joining Kearns & West, Marlys worked at the California Department of Water Resources. While there, she facilitated stakeholder engagement with small, rural water systems across the state gathering feedback for water shortage contingency planning on the local level. Marlys’s professional interests in environmental justice and equitable engagement were influenced by this work alongside disadvantaged communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from the University of California at Davis.
