Mia Schiappi is a Director at Kearns & West and supports collaborative services, interest-based negotiations, and multi-stakeholder discussions for water and watershed resources. Mia holds both a J.D. and a Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School where her studies focused on water resources and public land use law and regulation. Her bachelor’s degree is in Environmental Biology from Cal Poly Humboldt. Prior to joining Kearns & West, Mia worked for the California State Water Resources Control Board as a Scientific Aid. Her accomplishments there include research and drafting site-specific opinions relying on California’s Low-Threat Underground Storage Tank Case Closure Policy in the pursuit of groundwater regulation and remediation.
